Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Chattanooga Arboretum & Nature Center!  Volunteers come from different backgrounds, with each contributing a unique perspective to the center.  Volunteers are greatly appreciated in all fields, however, positions are limited in some departments.  The Chattanooga Arboretum & Nature Center strives to accommodate academic community service needs, as well as personal preferences or physical limitations.



Grounds & Gardens
Available During Regular Operating Hours
Volunteers assist with the upkeep of native garden areas. Tasks mainly include watering, mulching, and/ or weeding, etc. This is the perfect volunteer opportunity for those who enjoy working outside, working with their hands, or who need a flexible volunteering schedule.

Maintenance
Available Monday-Friday, 9-5
Seeking maintenance volunteers who wish assist in general repairs, and construction of new exhibits.  Preference given to those with a background in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.  All maintenance projects are overseen by the property manager, hours may vary.

Group Projects
During Regular Operating Hours
Groups MUST provide their own supervision.
