chattanooga's First Young Birders Club

Interested in learning more about birds? We're currently recruiting for Chattanooga's first Young Birder's Club. With our partners at the Chattanooga chapter of Tennessee Ornithological Society, and thanks to a grant from the state club, we now have sixteen pair of binoculars to use on birding excursions at Reflection Riding and in the surrounding area.

You don't have to have any experience or expertise, just a willingness to learn and the desire to get involved.

If you're interested, simply email our Education Director, Corey Hagen, at [email protected] While our original events have been on hold due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we will be back at it soon.

In case you're not convinced, check out this great video from Jason Ward. He visited the Ohio Young Birders Club for his Birds of North America show. This club was the first of its kind, founded in 2006 by the Black Swamp Bird Observatory.  See how these young birders were the first to spot the most interesting bird of the Biggest Week in American Birding.
